Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior ballet experience to enroll?

No. Students are placed based on age and ability, and we offer foundational levels for beginners as well as advanced training for experienced dancers.

How is level placement determined?

Placement is determined through audition, class evaluation, or instructor recommendation based on technical ability, coordination, and readiness.

Can students join mid-year?

Yes, enrollment is accepted throughout the year based on availability and placement suitability.

What is the time commitment?

Time commitment varies by level, ranging from introductory weekly classes to intensive pre-professional training schedules in the upper divisions. Class enrollment is flexible with no minimum required; however, we offer recommended training levels to support steady progress and continued improvement.

Do you offer video auditions?

Yes, video submissions may be accepted for students unable to attend an in-person audition.

What Makes Us Different?

How is your training different from a recreational studio?

Our program is structured around a progression-based, technique-first training model. Rather than focusing on casual participation, we prioritize consistency, discipline, and long-term technical development, with clear pathways from foundational training through advanced and pre-professional levels.

What is unique about your class structure?

We use an extended technique model, including longer ballet classes designed to allow for deeper correction, repetition, and refinement. This structure supports stronger technical retention and more meaningful progress over time.

Do you focus only on technique?

No. While strong classical technique is the foundation, we also emphasize artistry, musicality, performance quality, and versatility through pointe, repertoire, contemporary, and supplemental training such as conditioning and Pilates-based work.

How do you approach student development?

We take a long-term approach to training. Students are guided step-by-step through carefully structured levels, ensuring they develop strength, control, and artistry at a sustainable pace while building confidence and resilience along the way.

What sets your faculty and coaching apart?

Our faculty provides consistent, detail-oriented instruction with a focus on correction, refinement, and individual growth. Students are held to high standards in a supportive environment that encourages accountability, focus, and personal ownership of progress.

What is the overall goal of your training program?

Our goal is to develop technically strong, artistically aware dancers who are equipped with the discipline, work ethic, and life skills needed for success both in and beyond the studio.
